Despite being out of production since 1996, the Ford Bronco remains an iconic and singular favorite amongst SUV enthusiasts. While fans have had to search for older pre-owned models to experience the Bronco for years, that’s all about to change, as Ford has announced it will release a 2020 Ford Bronco.
Serious off-road capability
The 2020 Ford Bronco is slated to pay homage to a vintage favorite while placing itself squarely in the modern age of SUV innovation. One thing drivers can rely on, though, is some serious off-road capability from the new 2020 Bronco. Based largely on the new Ford Ranger, and pitted against the Jeep Wrangler, the new 2020 Bronco is sure to appeal to adventurous drivers of all sorts.
While we will have to wait for some specifics about the 2020 Bronco, we expect it to have a lot in common with the new Ranger when it comes to power. If we’re right, we think the 2020 Bronco will come equipped with Ford’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that makes an impressive 270 horsepower in the Focus RS.
Ford intends to add more electrified and hybrid vehicle options to its roster in the very near future, so it comes as no surprise that there is a hybrid model of the 2020 Bronco in the works.
Here at Corwin Ford of Springfield, we’ll keep you in the loop as soon as we hear any additional information about the Bronco.
