The automotive market is becoming increasingly electrified, especially in Europe. At events held earlier this spring in Amsterdam, Ford announced more details for an electric Mustang-inspired crossover. One of the most impressive announcements was that it will has a maximum electric range of 370 miles.
“Ford Hybrid vehicles will make electrification relevant and attainable for more drivers than ever before. From Fiesta to Transit, every new vehicle we introduce will feature an electrified version that best suits the needs of our customers in an affordable way,” said Stuart Rowley, president, Ford of Europe.
Along with the Mustang-inspired EV, Ford has plans to introduce 16 new hybrid and electric models into the Ford lineup in Europe over the coming years.
We currently do not know the name for this electric performance SUV. It was originally going to be called the Mach 1, but it seems Ford fans did not like that idea. Now, we have to wait and see what its unique name will be.
As for the styling of this new model, the front end is likely to have characteristic Mustang angles with a sharp nose. It will be designed on a brand new platform created specifically for electric vehicles.
